I have always travelled with a camera and enjoyed the whole process of taking my negatives down to the local print shop handing over my little container and waiting.

Yes I said waiting! We had to wait 2-3 days for them to return our packs of pictures - which was an exciting day to the chemist! Then taking them home, sharing and living through those moments all over again. Nowadays with the rise in the ability of camera phones, editing apps and social media we can all take, enjoy and share not just with our friends and family but with photo-lovers and photographers across the world instantly.
